FINISH LINE Kaimana Beach

The finish line will be located and marked 50 – 100 yds off the windsock. Final placement will be determined based on surf conditions.

Two large boats with buoys will mark the official finish. The larger boat on the inside closest to the beach will be the offical timing and check out boat. ALL Athletes must stop forward momentum and give their number to the boat and ski. Athletes will be asked to finish in between the boats with buoys, seaward of buoy.  SEE MAP.

We expect a fast and congested finish line and require the following for athlete and escort boat safety and timing needs:  ALL Athletes when done must exit the course.  IT IS VITAL that athletes communicate their race numbers to the Offical ski and Boat.

BOATS are asked to officially check out and announe arrival of their athlete at Black Point and before the diamond head buoy as they exit the course.

Before Black Point, all escort boats will be required to leave their paddler and exit the course to seaward. Escort Boats will be required to transit around Diamond Head Buoy seaward, before arriving at the finish area from the South. On the approach to the finish after passing Diamond Head Buoy, a no wake zone will be enforced for escort boats. Athletes will be unable to communicate or receive any aid from their escort boat past Black Point. Black Point will be the last chance for any boat and paddler communication or aid. There will be roving official boats/jet skis to ensure paddlers finish the race safely and/or to recover any paddler who exits the race for any reason.

For all boats headed back to Hawaii Kai for unloading please be aware that there will be athletes on the course.  Please stay in communication with the race and avoid any waking or disruption of Foilers still navigating the final miles of the course to the finish.
