EVENT SCHEDULE

Including -Entry Deadlines and Important Dates:

 

March 15th: Online entries open. There are a limited number of spaces in the race and entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

-All entrants will be subject to review by the race committee prior to entry being accepted.

-All entry forms must be COMPLETE including boat/escort waivers in order to be considered for acceptance into the race. An entry will be accepted and confirmed without escort boat waiver.  HOWEVER – all boat waivers must be received by July 1 – no exceptions.  If you have any questions please email the committee at info@molokai2oahu.com

-Teams must have all contact information for all parties completed including both waivers.

-Payment must be made in full

June 1st: Entry Fees increase from $200 to $250 per athlete for solo.   2 man teams will increase from $350 to $400, and 3 man teams will increase from $450 to $500.

July 1st: Entries CLOSED. No late entries will be accepted.

-All incomplete entries will need to be completed by this date or will be officially rejected.    Spots that become available at this time will become available to athletes on waiting list.  Athletes on the wait list will be informed and given ample time to secure their entry.  All athletes/teams on the wait list will have their info on file at time of being listed on wait list.

Wednesday July 27th Patagonia Movie Night presented by Wahoo’s Fish Tacos

Join us at Patagonia Store on Ward Ave to watch the 2010 highlight show on the big screen. Patagonia is having a great summer sale and Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s will be providing great meal specials with Kona Beer Specials all night. The party starts at 6 PM with the show being aired at 8 in the Patagonia Store. Bring the whole family on down, Wahoo’s will have live music.

 

Race Registration and Check In

Thursday July 28th: MANDATORY racers check in on Oahu at Duke’s Waikiki Restaurant

  • Racers & Boat Captains are required to attend.
  • The process should take no more than 15 minutes.
  • Race numbers, race packets and final instructions will be issued to racers at this time.
  • Course rules, radio frequencies and docking instructions will be issued to all boat drivers.
  • Race officials, safety personnel and organizers will be on hand to answer questions and assist in last minute logistics.
  • Duke’s will provide lunch discounts.
  • Race t-shirts and posters can be purchased at registration
  • Come meet, greet and eat and CHECK IN!

Press Conference and Media Event:  INVITE ONLY

 

Location: Hula Grill Waikiki

 

Time: 1:00-2:00 P.M.

PRE-RACE:

Pre Race Dinner

Location: Kalua Koi Beach Area

Time: 6-8 PM

Description: Pre race dinner provided by Wahoo’s, event organizers and sponsors. Final event briefings, instructions and weather check.   ALL racers are encouraged to attend.

RACE DAY:

July 31st

Molokai

7:00 AM Pre-race Pule’ (Hawaiian Prayer)

7:30 AM SOLO Paddleboard  and SUP Division Start

8:00 AM 2 Man and 3 man SUP and Paddleboard Relay Division Start

Oahu:

10:00 AM Event Expo Opens on Oahu

12:00 PM Lunch Service Begins

2:00 PM Elite Winners Presentation (Media Event)

4:00 PM Expo Closes/Lunch Service Closes

6:00 PM Awards Party at Outrigger Canoe Club

FREE for paddlers, guests are $25 each (dinner includes 2 Kona Brewing Drafts) kids meals available $10 each.  Tickets may be purchased at Registration and at finish line.  All Paddlers will be given a ticket.  Additional tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis.
