Plenty of Downwind Racing in July 2026

This July, paddleboarders will have the opportunity to race across Hawaii’s beautiful and challenging conditions multiple times throughout the month. Stay connected for more registration information coming soon.

SATURDAY JULY 4

The July festivities start with the 46th Annual Da Hui Race on the North Shore of Oahu. The race features two course options.  Athletes can start from either Turtle Bay or Sunset Beach with the finish line at Waimea Bay.

SUNDAY JULY 5

Next up is the Voyager X Wetfeet Downwind Challenge, featuring a classic downwind course from the Alan Davis area near Sandy Beach to the buoy outside Kaimana Beach, with SUP, Wing, and Foildrive divisions.

SATURDAY JULY 11

The Outrigger Canoe Club hosts their annual Cline Mann Race that will test athletes in both a long and short course option that finishes at the beach at the OCC.   The 18 mile long course starts at Makai Pier and the short course will test athletes on the Hawaii Kai run that is roughly 8 miles.  Historically the long course has been the the perfect test of endurance along the coastline of the Kaiwi in preparation of the M2O.

SUNDAY JULY 12

The calendar continues with the Paddle Imua, an annual downwind race from Maliko Gulch to Kanaha Beach Park supporting Camp Imua.

SATURDAY JULY 17

Coming up is the Kamalo Downwind Paddle Race, a thrilling 10-mile ride across legendary waves with options for various craft and skill levels.

SATURDAY JULY 18

Also on the schedule is the Hawaii Paddleboard Championship– legendary 10-mile Hawaii Kai Run from Maunalua Bay Beach Park to Kaimana Beach.

SUNDAY JULY 18

Up next is the Maui to Moloka‘i Paddle Race, a world-famous 26-mile downwind paddle from Maui’s DT Fleming Beach to Kaunakakai that tests skill, endurance, and love of the ocean.

SUNDAY JULY 26

The finale will be the 27th Edition of the Molokai 2 Oahu World Championship Paddleboard Race.

These four races line up to create a Hawaii paddleboarding season like no other—perfect for athletes looking to tackle multiple events during one trip. Online registration for all races is coming soon.
